Lockwood & Co.

Nice paranormal young adult series about a world where ghosts are deadly. They are fought by young people with special gifts that fade as they grow older. How the world became this way remains somewhat unclear, but this may become clear in future seasons (if there are any) because research is being done into it. Because the gifts necessary to combat the spirits only manifest themselves in children and young people, they must expose themselves at an early age to great dangers that often prove fatal. After a disastrous campaign, a particularly gifted girl moves to London to join one of the major companies involved in anti-spiritual activities. After being rejected there, she ends up at the small agency Lockwood & Co. There she ends up in a great mystery and learns to know her gifts and use them well. The series contains two major stories. The first, about a vengeful female ghost, spans the first three episodes. The second, about a deadly mirror, the remaining five. Both stories are well developed and fun. In my opinion, the actors do a fine job and are convincing. Although this season's stories end well, there is still more than enough mystery and open ends left for a sequel. As far as I'm concerned, that can certainly happen. I sincerely hope that this series does not fall victim to Netflix's cancellation policy.

Surprisingly nice series! Well acted, tasty British. Hopefully there will be a 2nd season, if I Google around, Netflix hasn't released it yet...
