Reacher is an American misdaad series which aired on Amazon. The series premiered on February 4, 2022.

Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator, has just recently entered civilian life. Reacher is a drifter, carrying no phone and the barest of essentials as he travels the country and explores the nation he once served. When Reacher arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, he finds a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years. The cops immediately arrest him and eyewitnesses claim to place Reacher at the scene of the crime. While he works to prove his innocence, a deep-seated conspiracy begins to emerge, one that will require Reacher’s keen mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with. One thing above all is for sure: They picked the wrong guy to take the fall.

Yesterday I finished Reacher in one sitting. I just couldn't stop. It's actually one long film in which scissors are used every approximately 50 minutes. The next episode usually continues seamlessly where left off. No "Previously on Reacher" stuff. Brilliant. What a cool series. It really does justice to Lee Child's books. Alan Ritchson is truly phenomenally cast as the huge, silent and strong Reacher. The fights are fantastically depicted. And the story is very good. At no time did I feel like it was stretched or overly adapted for the TV format. Reacher simply appears in the first episode. You don't actually know anything about the man. But as the season goes on, more and more details emerge that show you how he became who he is today. There is still plenty to discover in that regard, but that is for next seasons. Because I can hardly imagine that this series will not be continued. It will largely be with a different cast, because Reacher moves from place to place. It's a shame that we probably won't see the fantastic Willa Fitzgerald and Malcolm Goodwin again. I hope to read here soon that the next season has been announced :-)

I think it was 25 years ago that I bought Lee Child's first book, Jachtveld (Killing Floor), the beginning of a long series about Jack Reacher. And yes, it all started in Margrave. I had already seen the 2 films with Tom Cruise, but thought it was terribly bad. All I knew was Jack Reacher, that big, broad guy with fists like cannonballs. And then suddenly there's a Smurf like Cruise standing in front of you. Then I actually saw it right away. After more than 30 books about Jack Reacher's adventures, he's starting to become like family. You know everything about him and you have an image of it. When I read about this series, I wasn't sure if I should watch it. I'm glad I watched and I was pleasantly surprised when Alan Ritchson (whom I had never seen before) first appeared on screen... Yep, that was the real Jack Reacher, that beast I always loved so much. had in my mind. His manner and manner of speaking were also exactly as I always imagined him. The other actors were also very good. In my opinion, highly recommended.

Good series. This is exactly how to make an action series. I read a number of Reacher books a few years ago, and one thing that has always stuck with me is how I finished Killing Floor in one sitting, and there was one chapter that was so exciting that I read it with bated breath. And fortunately, this scene was also very successful in the television adaptation and was just as exciting.

What a bear of a guy. Season 2 was very entertaining again! In terms of story, I thought season 1 was slightly better, but when I see Alan Ritchson in action, I prefer season 2.
