I stopped halfway through the 2nd episode because of very poor to bad and I'm not talking about myself ;-). Actually, the first action scene after the pilot was already too much; An armed armored car that is held at full speed by 2 vehicles, which together do not even weigh half, while the bad guys on duty blow out the windows without blinking, remove the roof for a moment and in the meantime send the summoned reinforcement to the afterlife without any form of opposition ... A "please shoot me" from the guards of the transport was still missing, otherwise the picture would have been complete. Almost as absurd as how the "organization" works: The House, The Dealer, The Player, etc. As a bonus, the brain of the "organization" (Wesley Snipes) occasionally gives away an imitation of Steve Urkel from Family Matters to keep things credible. The person who came up with the story, as far as it is already present, only had a book of cards and a few bad B-movies as inspiration, that much is clear. Even though the "organization" only consists of 3 people, one of which (The Player) has permanence outdoors, they still have images of every square centimeter of the USA, taken from every angle and even from places where no cameras can be seen. This mainly for the benefit of the secret, yet super rich customers who bet millions every week as it should in the hope that "The Player" will play his last game. In order to track stolen money, they personally fitted every money counting machine in the casinos and other gambling establishments in Las Vegas with a sensor that is of course connected to a computer system. That computer system may be from the IRS (taxes), but don't worry, you don't have to hack it because they have a password ... Anyone in America can just request that by post or internet, I suspect. In any case, it must have been quite a job for the two of you to unnoticeably modify the hardware in the more than 1700 Las Vegas stores of which we can assume that most of the casinos here are also open 24/7. Although I like some nonsense myself, this is just a bit too far for me.

See, that's how it should be. After an unimpressive pilot a much better second episode according to The Player's standards. An episode that embraces the incredible and goes all the way over the top. As befits this kind of series. Winchester and Snipes are also in much better shape. I guilty pleasure this this season.

Huh, why why was it canceled? They could have given it another chance. The beginning of the series was indeed not what I expected, but at the end there was a story. A second season I think would have been better. Unfortunately

Seen Pilot, in my opinion a bit like Person of Interest, but less well. Viewing ratings were very, very bad, so removed from my list. Also think that this one will not last long.
